PIANO PROGRAM
Ms. Melissa Warren Ms. Melissa Warren received a bachelor’s degree in piano performance from Transylvania University. Upon graduating, she went on to complete her certification to teach K-12 general music at the University of Kentucky. Through BNWA, Melissa will be the sole provider of the Harmony Road method in Eugene. She is certified to teach through the advanced level of Harmony Road. Melissa Warren has been teaching fun-filled, energetic piano lessons to beginning and intermediate students for the past ten years. Beginning in fall of 2007, Melissa will offer classes at BNWA in the Harmony Road piano method. A Portland-based method, Harmony Road utilizes solfege singing (do-re-mi) and ear training to steep the young student in a rich musical environment and develop the whole musician. Emphasis is placed on reading music and notes on a page, but also in feeling the music through the voice and the entire body.
Harmony Road Course Curriculum Harmony Road Music Course is an exciting, comprehensive music program, designed to help children discover the world of music through motivating materials and activities which develop the whole child.
The most traditional and effective way to study a musical instrument . Private lessons give students the opportunity to enjoy one-on-one instruction with the flexibility of individualized scheduling.
