Ballet North West Academy is the place to begin dancing the right way, right away! We offer the highest level of technique to children and adults in a conservatory-style setting. For our dancers, this means small class sizes, lots of individual attention, and the convenience of a neighborhood school.

As the foundation of our school, BNWA follows the Vaganova method, the same step-by-step method employed by the Kirov and Bolshoi ballets of Russia. This method emphasizes both proper technique and creating the conditions where creativity and artistry blossom.

Artistic Director Michele Major is certified in lower and upper grade Vaganova syllabus and has copyrighted her own seven-year training program, which applies Vaganova method to her students' weekly schedule. Following the carefully structured syllabus, students get the most out of studio time and achieve the joy, discipline, and fitness that arise from a strong foundation in ballet.
